“Second” is the magic word for roadwork this week. Moving into the second phase in the “Deck the Walt” project that has been well underway since August. And there will be labe restrictions on Second Street Pike in Bucks County.
Let’s start in Northampton Township, Bucks County, where road widening will cause some lane restrictions, and as a result, some delays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.. The construction will be taking place between Almshouse Road and Manor Drive starting this week, and lasting until Tuesday February 7.
Now onto the Walt Whitman Bridge, which is starting the second phase of its big redecking project. With this second phase, there are going to be some traffic pattern shifts, with some different lane closures this week. We have the full schedule broken down for you:
Monday (Jan. 23)
-Construction is scheduled from 8p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Two eastbound lanes will be close from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. From 11 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., three eastbound lanes will be closed
Monday (Jan. 23) & Tuesday (Jan. 24)
- From 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 a.m., two eastbound lanes will be closed. At the same time, one westbound lane will be closed.
Tuesday (Jan. 24)
-The right eastbound lane is expected to reopen at 6 a.m.
Wednesday (Jan. 25) to Friday (Jan. 27)
-From 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., two eastbound lanes will be closed.
Saturday (Jan. 28)
From 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., two eastbound lanes will be closed.
