MALVERN, PA – OCTOBER 28, 2010: WPHL-TV (PHL17) in Philadelphia and Tango Traffic, provider of 24/7 local traffic information, announced today a partnership to launch the first of its kind traffic network dedicated to providing 24/7 local traffic reporting for the Delaware Valley. The new local network will produce a live, hosted 24/7 traffic channel that will also allow consumers to view streaming traffic reports via the web and on mobile devices. Launching January 1, 2011 in Philadelphia on PHL17’s digital channel 17.4, Tango Traffic will also be available on your local cable systems or TV service providers.
“Today’s consumers are used to getting news, sports and weather information when they want and where they want it,” said Tim Chambers, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Tango Traffic. “Now, for the first time, they can watch live local traffic reports on TV 24/7.
