Center City becomes real winter wonderland this weekend with the first-ever Winterfest at Sister Cities Park.
This Saturday, December 15th, the Center City District will host the free festival from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.. They’ll entertain crowds in Logan Square at 18th Street and the Ben Franklin Parkway. The event will kick off with a choir singing the songs of the season. There will be a holiday treasure hunt, a karaoke sing-a-long with Frosty the Snowman, story art, cookie decorating, and free crafts. Plus, you and your kids will all enjoy learning about the science behind snowflakes from the Franklin Institute.
And if your little ones have yet to see the big guy this year – Santa will be there to listen to kids’ Christmas wishes. Sounds more fun than waiting in line at the mall – don’t forget your camera!
With mild weather expected – enjoy the time outside and let me know about your experience by writing me at Christie@TangoTraffic.com!
